Distillery Manager, Peter Holroyd talks about our distillery spirit. With the Lowlands being an under-represented region for Scotch malt whisky, and in keeping with the provenance of the distillery, we set out with the aim of producing a light and fruity character of spirit in a Lowland style. The spirit has certainly evolved a little over time as the copper in the stills conditioned and the distillery settled down, and this has been fascinating to see. WEMYSS MALTS SINGLE CASKS LAUNCHED EXCLUSIVELY TO KINGSBARNS DISTILLERY
Kingsbarns Distillery is delighted to announce that two new exclusive single cask bottlings from Wemyss Malts are now available in its Visitor Centre and online shop. The Visitor Centre was opened on St Andrews Day 2014 by the Wemyss family owners and the founder, local man Douglas Clement. Distilling started in January 2015, with the first cask filled in March that year.
