Recipe: Kingsbarns Hot Toddy
The festive season might be behind us, but we can still embrace the cosy ambiance of winter with a warming Kingsbarns hot toddy, perfect for heating up cold hands after a chilly winter’s day walk. Put your feet up, sit by the fire and enjoy the light, fruity and floral flavours of our lowland style Doocot Single Malt in a new, alternative way.
Recipe: Kingsbarns Hot Toddy
50ml hot water
1 tbsp Darnley’s honey
50ml Kingsbarns Doocot Single Malt whisky
25ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
To garnish (optional):
1 lemon wedge
Cloves for an extra burst of flavour
Method:
1. Pour hot water into a jug, add honey, and stir until dissolved.
2. Combine the Kingsbarns Doocot Single Malt whisky and freshly squeezed lemon juice in your favourite mug.
3. Gently add the honeyed hot water into the whisky and lemon mixture. Stir well.
Garnish with a lemon wedge and cloves for a finishing touch. Serve hot.
